Tally is a financial
accounting software which is used to maintain daily business transaction of the
firm like sales, purchase, receive, payment, drawing, deposit, tax computation,
etc.
In tally Accountant can find out any time position
about his firm where firm is going into profit or loss.
Now-a-days, every
department has compterised and they used multiple software for specific task as
ms-office to maintain official reports, programming langauge (c, c++, c# etc.)
to develop software.
Same as tally is a
financial accounting software which is used to maintain our daily business
transaction.
There are many types
of financial accounting software in the market like: Reach, Xero, Wave, Saral, Busy, Quickbooks, HD Accounts &
Billing Software(HDPOS), Marg, Profitbooks etc. but tally is the most
popular and user friendly because in this software every type of people can do
work i.e., accountants or non accountants.

Working Mode of Tally
There are three types
of working mode:-
Accounts only:-
It is working mode of tally in which we maintain only financial
transactions.
Accounts with inventory:- It is working mode of
tally in which we maintain all types of transactions i.e., financial
transactions, stock transactions, tax compuation, etc.
Inventory only:- It is working mode of tally in
which we maintain only stock transactions.
But these working
mode has been converted from tally 6.3 into two types:-
a. Accounts only
b. Accounts with
inventory
These working mode once again converted from Tally Erp 9 (6.0.1) into one.
