ACCOUNTS WITH INVENTORY

 

As we know very well accounts with inventory is the working mode of tally. In which we maintain all the business transaction. As we know that accounts only is also a working mode of tally in which we maintain only financial transaction but in accounts with inventory we maintain any types of transaction that is financial transaction, stock transaction, tax computation etc. Account with inventory automatically calculate opening stock & closing stock value. So, we can say accounts with inventory is the more powerful working mode of tally, because in which you maintain any types of business transaction.

           

In accounts with inventory we discussed about “Inventory Information Menu”. Which helps we create list of stock item, company name of stock, categories of stock, unit & stock item.

Stock Group -  It is a part of inventory information menu. In which we create company name of stock.

            Like: LG, HP, Intex, Samsung, etc.

Stock Group Creation

Process:

Ø  Gateway of tally

Ø  Inventory info

Ø  Stock group press enter.

Ø  Single create

Stock Category – It is part of inventory info. Menu in which we create category of stock item.

            Like: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, Printer, etc.

 

For use stock category you have to change feature press f11 on gateway of tally and go to inventory features menu and check to option yes “maintain stock category”.

Process:

Ø  Gateway of tally

Ø  Inventory info

Ø  Stock category

Ø  Single create

 

 

   Unit of Measure – It is a part of inventory information menu, which used to create unit of stock items.

            Like: Kg, Pair, Pcs, dozen, etc.

There are two type of unit of measurement:

1.      Simple Unit

2.      Compound Unit

1.      Simple Unit: It is used to create single unit of stock items.

Like: KG, Pair, Piece, Dozen, etc

            Simple Unit Creation

            Process:

Ø  Gateway of tally

Ø  Inventory info

Ø  Unit of measure

Ø  Create

 

2.      Compound Unit: In this we create relation between two simple units.

Like: Dozen of twelve pcs, pair of two pcs, kg of 1000 gm, etc

            Compound Unit Creation

Process:

Ø  Gateway of tally

Ø  Inventory info

Ø  Unit of measure

Ø  Single create

Ø  Then press backspace button

Ø  Select compound unit and press enter

 Note:- for create compound unit firstly create simple unit.

Stock Item – It is a main part of inventory information menu which used to create stock item of the firm.

            Like: Multimedia Keyboard, Optical Mouse, LCD Monitor, etc.
